Hi, my name is Rita Beerda and this is my first experience at blogging. Just to let you know a bit about myself. I am married to Peter and we have five wonderful children; three girls, two of whom are married to great son-in-laws and two sons both married to great daughter-in-laws as well. We also have ten even more wonderful grandchildren!! I am retired, although I do keep busy with volunteering for school fundraising, as well as my church and also some community volunteering. Peter is still working hard at his electrical business. We both grew up in Eastern Ontario and moved to the Dorchester area in 1968 and 1969. We were married in 1970. Peter and I both have taken up cycling in the past 3 years and are loving it. We also love travelling and have done some mission work projects in Haiti and Nicaragua. That's about it for now.
